Happycentro is a cross-disciplinary design studio. They are devoted to creativity and rational approach to design processes.
The studio began in 1998 in Verona, the romantic city of Romeo and Juliet. In recent years we have worked with both big clients and tiny startups, for local agencies and major international companies.
Their approach to design is always the same: designing a logo, an advertising page, a wall or directing a commercial offers the same opportunity to deal with issues to solve.

HappyCentro has a task of creating an app to show off the work of their designers. This work will be hosted on Behance so the app must consume data from the Behance API.
HappyCentro wants a single page application (SPA) which integrates nicely into their existing site and use the existing header section with main navigation (so it is not necessary to build this).
Project overview scenario:
A website which shows their portfolio and an agency finder.

- Company has high quality designs & design-oriented team.
- Company has a small network since they work from a small city, mainly focused on finding the clients online.
- Finding clients by showcasing their portfolios from every country - since mostly speak English, and the website should be on English.
- Design agencies are blooming everywhere, now it’s the matter of outsourcing the work to a company which does it for a compromising value & quality.

The sitemap covers the pagination, movement around the website & the API calls which will be called from behance, Google maps & Github Jobs.

This document shows creating a persona which will see and use the website. Majority of users would be users which have no design or computer skills, which will require help along the way of their current companies success, with branding, web development or any design needs.

I’ve decided to make two user testing processes:
Card Testing - Physical testing
Sketch Testing - Digital testing
We’ve built the pages from the low-fi wireframes and based on the sitemap/ user-flow which we’ve created, the app is usable and can see it clear how the product should be used.
Research
I’ve done A/B Testing on the Portfolio functionality, asking people is it better for their experience having all the portfolio pieces in one page (e.g 100vh, 50vh), or to have them stacked one by one and to be scroll-through.
From the voting we’ve chosen to use the design B, which will continue into development phase.
Research
For the main page of HappyCentro we’ve decided in the main page to have the CTA button of viewing the portfolios first, and the second CTA to be contacting for a quote. The reason behind this is since some users could be not first time customers, they want to engage fast and check the portfolio pieces to see if their current need fits the budget of this company.
Research
While clicking the red CTA button called “Find us”, will redirect the user to the Agency Finder (HappyCentroFinder) and will use the map to navigate, see what kind of events, agencies or jobs are available in their area.

This flow covers all the calls from the start of the app which the steps are:
1 - Page loads
2 - Behance API Fetch
3 - Show Images
4 - Get ID of the users clicked
5 - Show users projects
6 - Agency Finder Opened
7 - Google maps API
8 - End

Target audience of HappyCentro with statistics of users which need Designs or Website developed by the third party are majority of 35+ year olds which when they had a computer design wasn’t a thing. Now the era has changed and marketing & design has shifted to online and everything is being moved to advertisement on social media e.g Facebook, Instagram.

HappyCentro problem is finding customers overseas, not only in their native home. For solving this problem we’ve done some user testing while users could see the website in Italian first, and then to press “Translate to English” which was a downrate or clicks while we changed to English performance and the engagement went up.
The solution is to use colours that categorises trust, e.g Blue, and have a form which they can contact, and always have a free quote, plus creating a HappyCentroFinder which they can find them around NZ.

For the solution problem we came up with a moodboard to choose a minimal design, showing modern & peaceful state.

DESIGN
I've started to do some research about the competitors, we came up with a Low-Fi sketch.
Tried to solve the problem of ordering both Accommodation & Transport at the same time.
With this wireframe I concluded that two inputs would be used from Accommodation & Transport, and the other two for dates before/after.
Sometimes the users click accidentally, so we've added a button called "Search" to activate the search results.
