Developed the website for entertainment while adding new levels & maintaining the facebook page.

Design

Levels consist of 5 different types:

Novice

Design

Icons

Icons are all developed using pexels, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

In the website we've used 3 different type of images, Low Quality, Medium Quality and High Quality.

I've compressed the images and the files so the website loading time could be under 2 seconds and download to be under 2 megabytes.

Research

Google analytics

While doing some Google analytics research, I've found out that users mostly use the app around 3-5 minutes.

Which this issue led me to use HotJar to check the users heatmap, and the funnel of why the users are not using the app.

Research

Heatmap Mobile

I've started to do some research about the competitors, we came up with a Low-Fi sketch.

Tried to solve the problem of ordering both Accommodation & Transport at the same time.

With this wireframe I concluded that two inputs would be used from Accommodation & Transport, and the other two for dates before/after.

Sometimes the users click accidentally, so we've added a button called "Search" to activate the search results.

Research

Heatmap Desktop

The UML Diagram is pretty straight forward, which shows the user how would use it.

The key element for the user was the search, find and funnel the path to the pay options.

For best user experience, we've used this UML Diagram to show the potential of simplifying the website into a better user experience website.

Research

Google Analytics

As part of the heatmap the analytics improved:

We've fixed some issues with the sidebar opening late, while the heatmap gave as a hint of which part of the app is not working properly.

Research

Google analytics

We've made the game responsive, for all devices.

I've tried to make a few exceptions of what to show when the user is on mobile version, so I've decided to check first how many % of the users are playing the game from their phone.

From the research it came out that 42.9% of the users use phones, and we've focused into improving the mobile phone user experience..

DESIGN

Google analytics

Another issue was the timezone of New Zealand and the other states.

When I've had to post a new level on Facebook, I've made sure I came back to this page and check the best users time when it's the most appropriate for them.

Research3

Google Adsense

Another issue we've countered with Google Adsense was that the first days when the App was launched, people were using Ad-block, so the revenue went really slow.

We've wanted to remove the, but we've left it for testing purposes.

You can see the final website here and thank you for reading!
